Barbara is an highly accomplished, versatile pianist with a repertoire ranging from classical masterpieces such as Liszt’s Liebestraume, Debussy’s Claire de Lune, Chopin’s Fantasie Impromptu to the greatest pop and rock n’ roll hits, including the Beatles, Sting, Sinatra, Eric Clapton, film themes, showtunes and contemporary artists. With 23 years of piano-playing experience, Barbara has achieved an extensive performance resume, playing for engagements such as private after-dinner concerts, weddings, christmas parties, cocktail receptions and afternoon tea concerts. She took first prize in the Geneva Swedish Days piano competition, and recorded her debut piano album at the age of 22. Barbara holds a degree in Music from Colgate University in New York, and has also participated in the Summer Music Performance Program for pianists at Columbia University in New York. She enjoys performing in all types of venues, and regularly plays at hotels in London. Her pianistic tone has been described as, “poignant, touching, and filled with intensity.” |
